La Filmoteca Española posee colecciones documentales de muy diversa índole: fílmicos, bibliográficos, archivísticos, gráficos, fonográficos, museísticos... y se han agrupado en dos grandes bloques: los fondos fílmicos y los fondos no fílmicos.
